April 2010 - Decide to move forward with the adoption process

Summer 2010- Research African countries and agencies

Aug. 26-Mail Application to One World Adoptions($250)

Sept. 3-Receive acceptance packet

Sept. 15-Receive check for $500!

Sept. 23-Find out we will receive $13,170 tax refund for the adoption!

Sept.25-Fundraiser yardsale brings in $2,000!

Sept. 26-Receive check for $300!

Sept. 28-Receive check $250!

Sept.29-Fingerprinted for FBI background check

Oct. 10-Complete 1st round of paperwork for Homestudy and pay half of homestudy fee ($750)

Oct. 14-Receive check for $75!

Oct. 20-First Homestudy visit

Oct. 22-Get 911 records of calls made from our address, Medical forms from kid's pediatrician, Certified copies of kids' birth certificates ($60)

Nov. 1-Drug screenings ($90)

Nov. 3-2nd homestudy visit

Nov.6-Begin online adoption training, need 10 hours total ($175)

Nov. 9-Go to doctors to complete physicals ($50), Get Tuberculosis test done ($35), 2nd set of fingerprints for GBI

Nov. 10-Final homestudy visit!!

Dec. 8-Receive check for $75!

Dec. 9-Receive check for $250!

Dec. 18-Complete all 10 hours of adoption training!($50)

Dec. 22-FBI Clears us...Homestudy complete!!!

Dec. 24-Receive $500!

Dec. 26- Receive check for $2,000!

Jan. 03-Receive check for $100!

Jan. 12-Pay 1st agency fee of $3,200

Jan. 19-Receive check for $70!

Jan. 20-Receive check for $1,000!

Jan. 27-Mail immigration papers to U.S. Homeland Sec.

Mar. 10-Receive $2,000 matching grant through James Fund!

Mar. 14-Receive check for $1,000!

May 9-Receive $5,000 grant from ShowHope!

May 19-Get on the referral wait list.

June 27/28-Receive 2 checks ea. for $500!

July 18-In the number 12 spot on wait list

Aug 25-In the number 1 spot!
